Pastorate Announcement & Religious Education
Dear Muncie Catholic Families,
We are excited to announce several Evangelization updates!
is now serving as the
Coordinator of Adult Formation & Family Life.
Christine will help lead and coordinate adult faith formation opportunities such as Bible Studies, book studies, retreats, and more! Her office will continue to be based out of St. Francis of Assisi. Christine will continue to coordinate Religious Education until the new coordinator has been hired.
We welcome to the Muncie Catholic Staff
who will be serving the pastorate as
Co-Coordinators for Youth Ministry
. They are charged with leading Middle School and High School Youth Groups and Confirmation formation. Their office will be based out of St. Agnes Hall at St. Lawrence.
Registration for religious education for children is open now! Religious education involves not only the handing down of what we as Catholics believe, but also the initiation of children into the faith, attitudes, and values of our Christian Community.
Our Religious Education Programs offer instruction to students in elementary, middle, junior high and high school who are members of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Lawrence, and St. Mary.
Our programs offer the opportunity for students to prepare for the reception of the three sacraments: Confirmation, Eucharist and Penance. Our aim is to provide a loving and caring Christian atmosphere in which students can encounter Jesus and grow in sound Christ-like attitudes and values.
For the 2021-2022 formation year, we will offer two options for Muncie Catholic. Sunday morning on the St. Francis campus and Tuesday evening on the St. Lawrence campus. Our Muncie Catholic students at St. Michael will continue to receive daily instruction on the St. Mary Campus.
Confirmation will meet on Sunday evenings as a pastorate. High School and Middle School Youth Ministry information will be available in the coming days.
Registration links for students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade may be found below.
If you feel called to serve as a catechist for one of our classes, please let us know by registering below.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support of our many ministries at Muncie Catholic.

Jason Hart, Director of Evangelization

Hi there! My name is Christine Wolfert and along with my husband Dan, and daughters Emma and Addie, we have been parishioners of St. Francis for just over 11 years. I took on the role of Director of Religious Education at St. Francis 2 years ago and have been blessed to work with the youth of St. Francis, as well as our preteens and teens in our Muncie Catholic Youth Ministry program, and our adults through our faith formation opportunities. I am so excited to see how this new opportunity will work to bring our Muncie Catholic community together in an even greater way!
Hello, my name is Zach Lee, and me and my wife are so grateful for this new opportunity at Muncie Catholic as I step into the role of Co-Coordinator of Youth Ministry. Me and my wife are both from New Castle, where we currently live with our 1 year old son, Joseph, and our newborn daughter, Katharine (or “Katie”). I am an English teacher at New Castle High School, and my wife works for Henry Community Health. We both are converts to the Catholic faith from evangelical/Protestant backgrounds. In my early 20s, I was an associate pastor in the Southern Baptist Convention for about 4 years while I was finishing college. When I was 27, a few months after meeting my now wife, we began our somewhat long journey to the Catholic Church. Our faith journey brought us to St. Mary’s in Muncie a few years ago and we couldn’t be more thankful. We love Our Lord, Our Lady, and the Church, and I am excited to share that love and hope to ignite that passion in our youth as we partner with families to promote our beautiful and vibrant Catholic faith. I believe East Central Indiana is ready for an awakening, and I can’t wait to see how God uses our pastorate to accomplish his will.
Hello! My name is Audrey Williams, and I am ecstatic to be a Co-Coordinator of Youth Ministry for Muncie Catholic. I am originally from Lawrenceburg, IN and I graduated from Ball State in December 2020 with a degree in Special Education - Intense Interventions. I currently teach as an Instructor at Erskine Green Training Institute. When I'm not teaching, you can find me going for a run, rooting on the Cincinnati Reds, or getting ice cream at one of the 9 shops in Muncie! Fun fact: I've played the violin for 12 years. I look forward to working with the youth of Muncie Catholic and helping foster future saints!
